Eligibility Criteria
1.The eligibility criteria of the new MOE SSAS are as follows:
o Only subsidized Singapore citizen pursuing a full-time Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma course in ITE are eligible to apply;
o Students should have a gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) of ≤ $1,700.
o Students must have taken up existing financial assistance where available. For Nitec or Higher Nitec course, financial assistance includes the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary and ITE Special Student Assistance Scheme (SSAS). For Diploma course, financial assistance also includes the loan schemes and MOE Bursary ;
o For students who are holding scholarships that are not sufficient to cover the total annual tuition fees and living expenses, these students can be considered for the MOE SSAS.
o Students must have utilized the available funds in their Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA).
2. MOE SSAS recipients can concurrently hold the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary, ITE SSAS, MOE Bursary or other bursaries.
3. Students may apply for the MOE SSAS at any time of the academic year. The MOE SSAS is renewable at the start of the subsequent academic year. Recipients progressing to the next Academic Year may apply for the MOE SSAS again.
